Live on campus at uni

The University of Surrey has over over 5,000 rooms in 10 Courts (halls of residence.) Rooms are mostly single (with some duplex rooms in Stag Hill Court), self-catered and with shared kitchen facilities.

Rooms are in bands – from A to E – according to price and facilities. As standard, every halls bedroom has an internet connection, telephone service and contents insurance (included in the room price.)

Band A

There are 389 budget rooms at the University of Surrey on campus in Stag Hill Court and off Campus at Hazel Farm.

Stag Hill Court

These are split-level shared rooms without washbasins. Occupants’ space in each room is separated by a flight of stairs, with individual broadband and a telephone service for each student. There are two duplex rooms (shared by 4 students) with a shower room including a washbasin and toilet. A shared kitchen accommodates 10 students.

Hazel Farm

All rooms are singles, and without a washbasin, in this purpose built student accommodation around 3 miles from the main campus. There are seven rooms in each two-storey house with a kitchen, shower and two toilets. There is a regular free bus service to and from campus and parking spaces for residents.

It will cost you from £2,457 in annual rent per academic year (occupancy from 1 September.)

Band B

There are 412 basic single rooms at the University of Surrey on campus in Guildford Court and off campus at Hazel Farm

Guildford Court

Guildford Court has 280 rooms in two-storey terraced buildings. All rooms have washbasins, 14 students share a floor with three showers and a large kitchen.

Hazel Farm

Rooms are located in two-storey houses shared by 6 students. Most rooms have washbasins and each house has two showers and a kitchen/living room shared space. There is a regular free bus service to and from campus and parking spaces for residents.

It will cost you from £3,120 in annual rent per academic year (occupancy from 1 September.)

Band C

There are 1424 standard single rooms at the University of Surrey on campus – these are found in Battersea, Cathedral, Stag Hill, Surrey, Twyford and University Courts. All rooms have washbasins, except those in Stag Hill Court and University Court, and share kitchens and showers.

It will cost you from £3,510 in annual rent per academic year (occupancy from 1 September.)

Band D

There are 982 en suite rooms at the University of Surrey on campus – these are found in University, Twyford, Millennium House and International House Courts. There are 1600 en suite room at the Manor Park campus, including Bellerby Court. All rooms have an ensuite shower with toilet and washbasin – most are located in flats of 5 to 8 students sharing a kitchen.

It will cost you from £4,348.50 in annual rent per academic year (occupancy from 1 September.)

Band E

There are 27 larger rooms (50% more space than Band D) at the University of Surrey on campus (International House and University Court), and a further 38 at the Manor Park campus. Rooms have an en suite shower room with toilet and washbasin. Most are located in flats, with 6 students sharing a kitchen.
