Housing at Surrey Uni

Living on campus puts you right at the heart of student life. At the University of Surrey, this gives you access to a huge choice of facilities including a laundrette, post office, bank, bookshop, grocery store and health centre – all set in the rolling green hills of the Surrey countryside.

New full-time first year undergraduate students (who selected the University of Surrey as their first choice) are guaranteed on campus accommodation. Student halls are arranged in groups of self-catered housing called Courts of Residence - find out more in Live on campus.

All other students at the University of Surrey live off campus, mostly in Guildford. Private sector houses and rooms are not in short supply in Guildford and range in price from £75 to £95 per week. The University also owns and rents property in the town to let to students. Shared housing might not be the most luxurious of digs (and doesn’t come with a cleaner like halls), but if you choose your room mates carefully, it can become the best thing about being at uni.
